Five ways to make a Harry Potter wand!!

Here are five ways to make a Harry Potter wand. If your like me, you'll try all of them!!:-)

So I did the post on my Potter games
And if you wanted to you could make wands, or have Ollivander's shop:-)
Or you can do it just for fun!!!

Way 1:
Needed:
Stick/branch
peeler
desired paint colors
hot glue stxs
hot glue gun
glitter(optional)
marble(optional)

So first get a stick or a branch off a tree(about the length of your wrist to elbow) and as thick as u like


 If it has Bark on it u might want to peel it with a peeler or a knife be  Careful!!! Let it dry for a day or two.

Then paint it one color that is your base color. When that is dry hot glue a design on it and wait to dry.



 Paint glue. Dry. Add nail polish for extra shine!!! Add little bits at a time cause I find the paint comes off if you do to much. Have fun!!!! If u want when glue is still hot add a marble to the bottom!!



Way 2:
This way is where u just use a chopstick instead of stick. You don't even have to paint it.

Needed:
chopstx
peeler
desired paint colors( optional)
hot glue stxs
hot glue gun
glitter(optional)
marble(optional)

Paint. Glue design. Paint. Make it yours!!!!!



Way 3: Go to universal studios and buy one. I prefer making myself one.

Way 4:
Needed
self drying clay or polymer clay.
desired paint colors



Shape into desired shape.





Wait to dry/bake. Paint!!



Way 5:
Needed:
computer paper
sharpies
elmer's glue
glitter(optional)

Lay your paper out flat.Start rolling it up and gluing as you go by the end it should look like this


Let dry. When dry color wand.Great for little kids! You could even hot glue designs on it!!

My Potter Games

So I have many things to share!

Last august I created something I am really proud of and love. But I haven't been able to do it yet:-( I recently found a web site that has Harry Potter video games and they call it Potter Games, but mine is an all day physical thing.

First I made character cards (so we could randomly pick who we are).

I happened to only have girls go but you could easily add guys. I just thought of a few girls in the books:-) I got the idea from the game tailsman and am planning on making a Harry Potter one.I made these. Aren't they AWESOME!!!!

Hermione Granger Good

Can go past logical obsitales without fighting     Strength 2

Can say the meaning of the spell as the spell        Craft 4

Moaning Myrtle Nutral

Can't die                                              Strength N/A

Can go past sprits without fighting               Craft 3

                          Lives N/A

Fluer Delecour Good

Every 5 spells can go into super mode and everyone    armslength away loses 1 life.

Every 20 spells can get someone of her choice on the other team to come on her team.

Pansy Parkson Bad

Bad guy scout.

Every 10 spells can cast a charm on someone so they dont attack her (charm lasts 1 min).

Cho Chang Good  Or Bad

Can change alinment at will

Can go ahead with someone help them and stay with them.

Stength 4 Craft 2 Lives 3

Ginny Weasley Good

Can add her strength or craft to someone elses and gets it back after they use it.

Can go ahead with someone help them and stay with them.

Strength 5 Craft 2 Lives 3

Luna Lovegood Good Or Bad

Can change alinment at will.

Can confuse monsters monentarily (for 10 sec) and run past them.

Bellatrix Lestrange Bad

Can make 3 things shes defeated/killed fight for her.

Super craft.

Nymphadora Tonks Good

Can confuse monsters and sprits.

Strength 2 Craft 3 Lives 5

Parvati Good

Pavarti and padma are a team they go everywhere with each other. they can add their strength and craft together in battle. They are on the same team. If only one person draws a Padma/Parvarti Then redraw.

Bad scout.

Can steal wands from people who are stunned.

Rita Skeeter Bad

Super strength.

Can turn into beetle.

Strength 5 Craft 2 Lives 3

Narissa Malfoy Bad

Resurection power every 5 spells.

Strength 3 Craft 3 Lives 4

Next I made a "wall" to go to hogwarts.

Needed: 

a white sheet

a sponge(to put red paint on sheet)

sissors

sign (optional)

something to hang it up on the door

red paint

spread out white sheet

dip sponge in red paint and apply as seen

wait to dry 

cut a line about as tall as the tallest person is

add sign etc..

Then make a sorting hat

I just found a wood block and painted it green, blue, yellow, and red. That was what I was going to use to determine what house they were in.

Book 1; I did Quidditch 

Just tying Gold hola-hoops to two nearby trees, and getting balls of different sizes for the snitch etc..

The beaters are taggers,and the people they tag stay put for 10-20 sec, so basically like tag only they are the only ones who can tag.

I would go out early and hide the snitch for the seeker to find. I would also have the youngest player be seeker. Chasers go fight for the ball.

Book 2: I just did a scavenger hunt message on wall stuff like that I think this website will show you how to do it lots of thing if u look up Harry Potter themed scavenger hunts

I would just buy Slytherin Spirals at Costco  or another place.

this also has many other great ideas!!!!

Pumpkin Juice 

Just make little tags with cool fonts on your computer and burn the edges!

Now to go on

Obsicale course I just did a few book related obsicales such as riddles, fighting and stuff. You can use scavender hunts.Riddles to find and save your friend and The sphinx riddle;

“First think of the person who lives in disguise,

Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.

Next, tell me what’s always the last thing to mend,

The middle of middle and end of the end?

And finally give me the sound often heard

During the search for a hard -to-find word.

Now string them together, and answer me this,

Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?”

I didn't really know what to do for the 5th book.... Maybe a mini fight?

Book six:

write out a list of the seven horcruxes and hand them out to people( you can do it in groups of one or two) hide the horcruxes in a place it makes sense for them to be and see how well they know the books!!!:-) For the Horcruxes use things like:

an old journal

an old necklace

a ring

a toy snake

a pic of Harry Potter

a teacup 

and a crown

 

Book 7: MAKE SURE IT IS DARK TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!! EPIC BATTLE!!!!! With glow sticks!!!

Invitations: Print out template http://www.seanlockephotography.com/2013/07/18/youve-been-accepted-to-hogwarts/ and burn edges i covered it with coconut oil for the full efect it did make it a little bit oily but you can wipe it off with a paper towel. Tie it up with floss or twine and u can send it with an owl balloon too. Have them bring a costume, wand, broom,and Quidditch clothes. You can also have them bring a treat to share!!
